AUTHOR: Fernando Sansegundo Álvarez

Synopsis

During a Night of Souls at the present time, appear in a theatre, the spirits of three authors in the Spanish language, from our Baroque: María de Zayas, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán. Trying to figure out the reason of such strange circumstances, they will examine the story of their lives and their experiences, their love won and lost, their successes and their defeats, to understand the true reason of his coming. The work represents a fusion of the original writings of the authors and, in their majority, original texts, most of them composed in verse aureus.

About the author

Fernando Sansegundo Álvarez

Rather than repeating the details of my professional history (see the attached CV for a summary), I’ll introduce myself in a few general lines. I was born in Madrid in 1957. But theatre appeared in the shape of an unexpected opportunity, and the famous venom that it distils left me hopelessly trapped: as soon as the chance arose to study it in the context of the T.E.C. Laboratory (the best option at the time, I dared say), I doubted no longer: I left behind the halls of the Complutense University of Madrid and other caprices. I have worked for forty-something years in almost all of the professions related to
