En 1920, Sherlock Holmes vive, retirado, en una granja en Sussex.Watson está en el Hogar para Veteranos de guerra de Afganistán.Y Moriarty tiene dos planes: borrar de la faz de la tierra a Sherlock Holmes, convirtiéndolo en un personaje de ficción (incluso ha creado un escritor llamado Arthur Conan Doyle) y dominar el mundo aliándose con una gran nación: Prugeralem.Pero el doctor Watson lee en el periódico que los casos del detective han desaparecido tras un incendio en los archivos de Scotland Yard.
