Una acaudalada señora deja toda su fortuna en herencia para los pobres. El problema es delimitar el concepto de pobreza: la material, la mental, la soledad, etc. Los albaceas que tienen que decidir sobre la herencia son el cura, el juez y el alcalde. Una mujer cualquiera, en un lugar cualquiera, se encuentra en un momento crítico de su vida. Sin saber si seguir hacia adelante o parar, ante un inesperado desconocido y dos serpientes en el contexto de un desierto, viento, movimientos lentos y delicados, transcurre la obra.
