Basada en hechos reales, el texto da voz a mujeres argelinas víctimas de la guerra, a personajes reales como la madre muda de Albert Camus, de origen menorquín, o la os generales argentinos que acogieron a los militares franceses al final de la guerra (1962), para que fundaran las técnicas de represión en las dictaduras del continente americano.
