Synopsis

Salón. Viejo y Vieja. Diálogo absurdo sobre la guerra y la paz. Observan entre cortinas. Todos se saludan sonrientes; la calle es un paraíso. Sus voces no enmudecen por las armas. Timbre de la puerta de la calle. Es un tanque. Lo reciben ceremoniosos. Amena tertulia. Los tanques nos defienden del enemigo. El le echa flores. Es bello un jardín lleno de tanques. Ella les sirve la comida. Los tanques sólo comen pólvora y únicamente se emborrachan en la fiesta de la guerra. Ella se le insinúa y le corresponde. Bailan. El se alegra al verlos. El tanque prefiere una marcha militar. Ellos son libres. El tanque les prohíbe pensar. Se arrodillan y le imploran. El tanque les ordena que abandonen sus ideologías. Telefonean a sus familias. En todos los hogares ha entrado un tanque. Miran entre cortinas. Sólo hay tanques en las calles. No perderán la palabra. Escapan, por toda la casa, y el tanque los persigue. Caen al suelo. Se sienten humillados. Son animales en un banquete de tanques. Duermen. D

MY BIOGRAPHY TO SCENE was unaware that there was no one I had discussed. What a surprise. I went to court to ask for a birth certificate for one of my characters and I found mine. Had come to life, in La Coruña (Spain), April 22, 1935. I read it, as if it were a book, the pages of my memories. Dwelt in the darkness, was a companion of shadows without sense. The light, from the spotlight, he showed me the reality. Dwelt on an empty stage, in a space of fiction. I had to invent my own being, arise between the nothing. My imagination was creating the argument that it should interpret. I painted the backdrop for the world, a home, parents, society. The whole history of humanity can be found in the tables on which it represents its absurd spectacle. I was happy, I was playing in theater, I felt free. I soon stopped being one.
