Synopsis

Nieves abandona su aldea después de la guerra y va a trabajar a la ciudad de criada. El señor es catedrático de Formación del Espíritu Nacional. No le pagarán. Comerá y dormirá gratis. El matrimonio come en el comedor y la criada le escribe a sus padres en la cocina. En la radio, que no se oye, habla el Jefe del Estado. Los señores aplauden. La criada, a cuatro patas, come los huesos que le echan. Friega de rodillas y el señor la sigue lujurioso, alzando y bajando el brazo, mientras se oye “Arriba con el tirurilulilo...”. El marido llevará a su mujer al cine y en la fila de atrás está siempre su querida. Nieves saca una foto de su novio de la maleta. Se entregará él, con un vestido provocativo, en las fiestas de la aldea. El señor la viola al grito de ¡Arriba España! y levantando el brazo. Está embarazada. Le pegan y la echan de casa. MY BIOGRAPHY TO SCENE was unaware that there was no one I had discussed. What a surprise. I went to court to ask for a birth certificate for one of my characters and I found mine. Had come to life, in La Coruña (Spain), April 22, 1935. I read it, as if it were a book, the pages of my memories. Dwelt in the darkness, was a companion of shadows without sense. The light, from the spotlight, he showed me the reality. Dwelt on an empty stage, in a space of fiction. I had to invent my own being, arise between the nothing. My imagination was creating the argument that it should interpret. I painted the backdrop for the world, a home, parents, society.
